Taxi ranks are conveniently located at both the International and Domestic Terminals. At the Domestic Terminal, the taxi rank is located centrally in front of the terminal. At the International Terminal, the taxi rank is located at the northern end of Arrivals on Level 2. A Brisbane Airport access fee of $3.30 applies to all pick-ups originating from an airport taxi rank. The access fee is paid by the passenger to the taxi driver and, as with all charges, may only be applied after the passenger has entered the taxi and the meter is started. Con-x-ion Airport Transfers meet every flight arriving into Brisbane Airport seven days a week, offering one way or return ‘door-to-door’ coach services from the Airport to/from Brisbane city. Passengers can book transfers at the Con-X-ion customer service counter on Level 2 of the International Terminal and at the Con-X-ion kerbside booth at the Domestic Terminal. Getting Around Brisbane
Brisbane is a compact, connected city, ideal for walking and getting around via the many scenic river and bridge walks. The city’s efficient transport network makes it easy for visitors to find their way about the city.
The Centre’s central city location is convenient for visitors with easy and direct access to an efficient citywide transport network of buses, trains, taxis and the river’s high-speed regular catamaran service. The city to airport Air Train operates from the South Brisbane train station, adjacent to the Convention Centre.
The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre is conveniently located at South Bank, a 10 minute walk from the Brisbane CBD. It is accessible by bus, rail and ferry.
Bus Services – South Bank is serviced by two bus stations: The Cultural Centre Station on Melbourne Street and the South Bank Busway Station corner of Colchester and Tribune Streets, South Bank.
CityCats – A popular and speedy way to travel the river. The CityCat terminal is located outside the riverside restaurants on the riverside promenade. CityCats operate daily from 5.30am to 10.30pm.
Taxi – Taxi ranks are located outside the main entrance to the Convention Centre, at Mantra South Bank in Grey Street and there is a taxi drop off located at the Grey Street main entrance.
Trains – There are two train stations within a five minute walk of the Centre. South Bank Station accessed from Tribune Street and South Brisbane Railway Station adjacent to the Convention Centre in Grey Street.
